Adorable 6-year-old girl is a two-time Jiu-Jitsu World Champion

Don't underestimate Aielle Aguilar!

At just six years old, she has already secured the title of a two-time Jiu-Jitsu world champion.

In Martin Javier's “Game Changer” segment on “24 Oras,” Friday, Aielle revealed that she started watching her parents engage in Jiu-Jitsu when she was only three weeks old.

Despite her young age, Aielle is proficient in grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds, making opponents tap out.

At the age of five, she became the youngest Filipino Jiu-Jitsu world champion and secured a gold medal at the Abu Dhabi World Festival Jiu-Jitsu Championships.

This year, she successfully defended her title. Aielle's remarkable skills appear to be inherited from her parents - May Masuda, the first Filipina world champion in Jiu-Jitsu, and Alvin Aguilar, the first black belter of Jiu-Jitsu in Southeast Asia.

“She basically grew up in the mat. She learned how to walk here, she learned how to roll over,” May shared.

According to Alvin, what they do is make it appear like it’s all fun and games in the beginning.

“Later on, they don’t know that these fun and games are part of the training,” he added.

May and Alvin enrolled Aielle in an all-kids tournament, and the young champion dominated from start to finish.

When Marvin asked her if she ever gets nervous before a fight, Aielle confidently replied no.

Her parents emphasized that it's all about the culture they've embraced along the way.

“We make sure that when you’re on the mat, in martial arts, it teaches you discipline, focus, and it teaches the person that your success and failure depend on you. You determine your future,” Alvin explained.

“Later on in life, when you go through life, kunyari they fail, they’re not afraid to fail because they know if they work harder, they’ll get there,” added.

Meanwhile, May remarked, “If they don’t, they know that they have to try again. They learn resilience also.”

Keep on shining, Aielle!
