Jungkook's 'Seven (feat. Latto)' earns world record for fastest song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify
Jungkook of BTS continues to make waves with his debut solo single “Seven” featuring Latto!
In a tweet, Guinness World Records (GWR) congratulated the South Korean idol for breaking the record for the fastest song to reach one billion Spotify plays.
GWR said on its website that the song’s “explicit version” broke the record on October 30, its 109th day of availability.
It replaced the 118-day male record held by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” and Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” and Miley Cyrus’ 112-day female record for “Flowers.”
As of writing, “Seven” has amassed 1,041,013,828 streams!
Jungkook released "Seven" on July 14, and it quickly debuted at the top of the Billboard charts.
He performed “Seven” at various venues, such as “Good Morning America’s” Summer Concert Series in New York City and the BBC Live Lounge.
“Seven” is one of the tracks featured in Jungkook's debut album, "Golden," which was released on November 3.
Aside from working on his solo music, the BTS “golden maknae” also collaborated with Charlie Puth on the hit song “Left and Right,” released in 2022, and worked with fellow BTS member SUGA on the song “Stay Alive.”
To promote “Golden,” he also made his late-night solo debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Congratulations, JK!
