'Stranger Things' writers give a sneak peek of Season 5 script

"Stranger Things" Season 5 is underway!

The writers of the show on Tuesday gave a sneak peek of the script they're writing for the highly anticipated final season.

Based on the script preview, the first scene will open with darkness.

"The sound of cold wind, groaning trees. And... a child's voice. Singing a familiar song."

Fans couldn't hide their excitement.

Netflix is holding its annual Geeked Week, and "Stranger Things" had its time to shine on Tuesday.

"Stranger Things" premiered on Netflix in 2016 and released the two parts of Season 4 in May and July of 2022. The series is set to conclude with the fifth season.

The story follows Eleven and her friends as they battle the monsters from the Upside Down.
