5 OPM gigs to go to this November: Armi Millare, Urbandub, and more

November just started and it's already looking like an exciting month for OPM, with all the gigs and upcoming music releases.

OPM fans, here are five gigs you can go to this month to celebrate music.

1. KINDRED, November 10

Get ready to dance and mosh the night away with KINDRED.

KINDRED, the OPM boyband and music collective, is holding a show in celebration of their debut album "Subset," released on November 7.

It's happening on November 10 at the Avire Tower, 27 P. Tuazon Blvd., Project 4, Quezon City. Doors open at 8 p.m., with the show starting at 9 p.m.

Aside from KINDRED, performers include Butta B, Saladbae, Hideki, and Chain Messages. Ticket pre-orders are priced at P400 and are available at kindred.helixpay.ph. The door charge is at P500.

KINDRED is redefining the concept of boybands and is composed of OPM artists, nouvul, Cavill, VINCED, Slomo Says, Punzi, dot.jaime, Fern., and Pikunin.

The group released the track "Megastar (Interlude)" featuring Sharon Cuneta and written by Frankie Pangilinan in September.

More of KINDRED's hit songs include "Lambing (feat. Kiyo)," "Switch On U!" and "SAY I LOVE."

2. Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, November 11

Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas is all set to celebrate their 11th anniversary on 11.11 in a fun funky fashion.

On November 11 at 123 Block, Mandala Park in Mandaluyong City, the "Brassified" gig will be a night full of the band's jazz, swing, blues, soul disco-funk, and contemporary groovy tunes.

Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas will form a 20-piece ensemble big band. Joining in on the funky frolic will be guest singers Unique Salonga, Leanne & Naara, Kat Agarrado, Ebe Dancel, Jensen Gomez, and Sammy Valenia. Opening the show is Zsaris with her live looper.

Tickets are priced at P500 with purchasing details to be announced. RSVP is done through the event's Facebook page.

Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas was formed in 2012 and plays a new unique kind of Manila Sound, mixing soul, funk, disco, and jazz. Their top hits are "Chili Garlic Butter Shrimp," "Kumper," and "Disko Na."

The band is composed of drummer Wendell Garcia, guitarist Kakoy Legaspi, bass ace Francis De Veyra, keyboardist Juni Sitaca, vocalist Mike Luis, and the brass squad of baritone saxophonist Ganza Panganiban, alto saxophonist Joseph Cabanero, tenor saxophonist Kaynne Castillo, trumpeters EJ Celestial, Marc Nicolas and David Jorvina, and trombonist Isla Antinero.

3. Armi Millare, November 24

A night with Armi Millare's soothing voice and moving lyrics sounds like a dream, and it's happening this month.

Armi is set to take the stage at the Balcony Music House on November 24, Friday, according to a post by the venue. Not only that, Balcony has an impressive lineup of OPM and foreign artists for the month, which include Charlie Burg and Franco.

More details such as ticket prices are yet to be announced.

Armi, the former vocalist of UDD, will be releasing her debut solo album "South Node" in 2024. She released the single "Roots" in October.

Armi left UDD in 2021 and wished her bandmates all the best.

More of Armi's top songs include "Kapit," "Lykkelig," and "Somewhere in Between."

4. Urbandub, November 24

Celebrate Urbandub!

On November 24, the classic OPM rock band hailing from Cebu will be holding the "20 Years of Influence" gig and vinyl launch at 123 Block, Mandala Park in Mandaluyong City. It is in celebration of their 2003 album "Influence."

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at P5,000 which is inclusive of a vinyl and shirt. Regular tickets are at P1,000. These go on sale on November 8, with purchasing details to be announced.

Urbandub released their latest album "Rebirth" in August. They had a farewell concert in 2015, but reformed as a four-member group in 2018.

Urbandub's classic songs include "The Fight is Over," "First of Summer," and "Evidence."

5. Rakrakan Festival, November 25 and 26

This is the final Rakrakan Festival, so make sure to rock out.

The OPM festival is all set for November 25 to 26 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Paranaque City.

Two-day tickets are priced at P1,199 for General Admission, P1,999 for VIP, and P2,999 for SVIP which comes with an official event shirt.

One-day passes are available at P799 for General Admission and P1,199 for VIP. Tickets are available via SM Tickets.

The iconic lineup of more than 170 artists will be spread out across multiple stages. Some of them include Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, Sandwich, Juan Karlos, Zild, 6Cyclemind, Nobita, Mayonnaise, Ron Henley, and the list goes on.

Aside from the top OPM artists, Rakrakan Festival also promises a merch bazaar, cosplay competition, skating, wrestling, rap battle, a car show, busking, and other thrilling activities.
