BJ Pascual shares daring photos, pens tribute to late NY-based Pinoy photographer
BJ Pascual took to social media to honor his newly departed friend Jeiroh Yanga, a New York-based Filipino photographer.
On Instagram, the celebrity photographer shared a set of black-and-white daring photos of himself taken by Jeiroh.
In his caption, BJ said he was still in shock about Jeiroh's death.
"RIP [Jeiroh]," he wrote. "Still in disbelief."
"Our last conversation was about posting this set of photos 'first week of November,'" he added. "That's now. I just [didn't] think it would be in this context. This is it. Our last shoot."
The 34-year-old also wrote a tribute to his departed friend, saying Jeiroh always made him look his best through photography.
"I'm going to miss seeing your messages at random hours[,] going to [New York] knowing [I'll] see you," he wrote.
"Most of all, I'm going to miss the excitement of seeing your new work pop up in my feed and [every time] telling you how amazing they are," he added.
BJ also thanked Jeiroh for "portraying queer humans in your art in the most powerfully serene way."
"Your work is a testament to your vision and skill, and as I've always told you, you are one of the most talented photographers I know," he said.
"I'm heartbroken that you [are] gone[,] but your work will live on," he added.
BJ is a resident photographer and judge on "Drag Race Philippines."
Among his noteworthy works include maternity shoots with Jennylyn Mercado, Solenn Heussaff, and Anne Curtis.
