Jonas Gaffud says Michelle Dee is a 'determined and dedicated queen'
Jonas Gaffud has nothing but praise for Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee.
On Instagram, the talent manager and pageant mentor posted a photo holding a Philippine flag, whereas Michelle was wearing her sash.
He wrote, “This is it!”
Jonas then looked back on their early days.
“I met Michelle when she was in college and she applied to be a model,” said the Miss Universe Philippines Creative and Events Director. “But as fate would have it, she ended up joining another pageant and management company. Our paths (at work) never happened until 2022 when she joined Miss Universe Philippines.”
They met again when Michelle thought about joining the local pageant again, which she eventually won in May.
Jonas then commended Michelle’s tenacity.
“I know how some Pinoys would bash her but everyday I would see a determined and dedicated Queen. I am very proud of how she is: strong, independent woman. Her aura is QUEEN!” Jonas said.
“And her outfits and gowns are impeccable. So excited for this year’s edition,” he added.
Shamcey Supsup, Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 and Miss Universe Philippines National Director, also gave Michelle a supportive message.
Michelle and Jonas recently arrived in Los Angeles ahead of the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador.
Michelle confidently said at her send-off media conference that she is ready for the Miss Universe pageant. She is competing for the crown with an advocacy for autism awareness, and is all set to bring her individuality.
The beauty queen and Sparkle actress previously teased her fierce runway walk. She also said that her Mark Bumgarner gown for the international pageant “will be iconic.”
