Khalil Ramos and Maris Racal explore purgatory and hell in the trailer for their upcoming series “Simula sa Gitna.”

As seen in the trailer, Khalil and Maris’ characters are both already dead, but are stuck in purgatory. To make their way to heaven, they need to earn Ligtas Points.

Maris works in the purgatory. She accompanies Khalil in an elevator to head to the residences, but they end up in hell, or the Basement.

It is then revealed that Maris had been a mean girl when she was still alive and had died a traumatic death. Her memories were erased and she is not ready to remember what happened to her.

“Simula sa Gitna” also stars Dolly De Leon, Jane Oineza, Meann Espinosa, and Adrian Lindayag.

It is written and directed by the multi-awarded filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone under her production company, Project 8. It was first teased in March.

“Simula sa Gitna” is a spin-off of the top film “Hintayan ng Langit.” It premieres on November 2 on Prime Video.
