10 Halloween events happening this weekend: Parties, gigs, drag shows, and more

Halloween weekend, here we come!

There are too many parties and fun activities to choose from, we don’t know where to start! 

GMA News Online rounds up upcoming events for this long weekend that will have you in for some thrilling and “spooktacular” experiences.

1. Fright Fest at Palacio De Memoria 

Get those costumes ready for a tour of a restored pre-war mansion — and then drink and dance the night away.

At Palacio De Memoria’s Fright Fest, the event promises an unforgettable night. For a registration fee of P1,800, guests will tour the mansion and its museum, and learn more about its history from its pre-war days.

Apart from exhibits featuring Asian and European pieces, guests will also have access to a photo booth and try out the special Bewitched cocktail at Mosphil at RRR, the cocktail bar inside a plane at the Palacio. Beats will be provided by DJ JVC.

2. Halloqueen Ball

If you think drag queens are just all pretty and fun, wait until you watch frightening performances at this year’s Halloqueen Ball, featuring mesmerizing acts from international and local drag artists. 

Headlined by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” S15 winner Sasha Colby and Krystal Versace, local queens Arizona Brandy, M1ss Jade So, ØV CÜNT, Hana Beshie, Aries Night, Slaytina, and Yudipota are joining them in the show.

 

 

October 28, Saturday, 7 p.m., Baked Studios, Makati. Tickets start at P3,500. Tickets.

3. saGuijo’s Halloween Night

Experiencing live OPM while all dressed up in costumes? Count us in.

Iconic Makati music venue saGuijo is holding a Halloween night with independent production company Final Round Promotions and record label We Are.

Rising artists 28 Days Of February, AOUI, Bre?, ELEYN, Future Kids, Tone of Bali, Mint Magic, The Early Ears, The Right Things, and Vanessa Mendoza, are all set to perform.

Dress up in costumes because awards, loot bags, and raffle prizes await.

October 28, Saturday. 6pm. Tickets start at P300. 7612 Guijo St., San Antonio Village, Makati City.

4, Onlypans’ Gabi ng Bading

What’s better than a Halloween party? A Halloween party with overflowing tacos and birrias — and shots of whiskey!

In celebration of Onlypans’ first anniversary at The Pop-Up Katipunan, the taco joint is set to throw a Halloween party featuring drag performances from BBC: Beshie (Hana Beshie), Brandy (Arizona Brandy), and Cunt ( ØV CÜNT). 

If you think that's all, then you're wrong. Also at this event is internationally renowned drag queen Taylor Sheesh, who will take you back on what it's like being "Fifteen" again.

 

 

Come in your campiest outfit, and you might just win a special prize!

5. Die-Ning in Nightmares Manila 

This might be the most spine-tingling dinner you’ll ever have.

Nightmares Manila, a huge walk-through haunted attraction with live actors and special effects, has a special package that includes tours and a haunted dinner aptly dubbed Die-Ning.

Die-Ning in Nightmares includes entrance to all three haunted houses in the compound, namely, the House of Darkness, The Haunted Schoolhouse, and Freakshow, as well as an eerie dinner and a live performance show which strictly starts at 5 p.m. Guests will also be treated to a souvenir shirt and framed photo.

6. D’ Halloween Intervention

The Divine Divas, also known as Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas DeLuxe, and Brigiding, are set to throw their own Halloween drag party dubbed as “D’Halloween Intervention.”

Their drag daughters will also showcase spooky performances, including Ally Nicole, Zymba Ding, and Tiny DeLuxe, among others.

7. Drip Splash Halloween neon painting session

Parties not your thing? Head to Drip Splash’s studio in Bonifacio Global City for a Halloween neon painting session.

On October 28, Saturday, and October 29, Sunday, Drip Splash will bring out its neon and glow-in-the-dark paints for a memorable session featuring new Halloween-themed artworks.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in costumes and even bring their own food and drinks for the event. Kids will also have trick or treating. 

 

 

The studio is perfect for painting beginners, kids, and adults. In-house artists are also there for guidance.

8. Buena Vida’s Fright Night

For those who simply want to dance the night away without the pressure of dressing up for Halloween, then Buena Vida’s Fright Night is the best party for you. 

Forget the costumes and forget the complicated themes! All you have to do for this event is to come as you are and party hard!

 

 

October 31. 9 p.m. Buena Vida in Bonifacio Global City. Tickets start at P600.

9. CCP Philharmonic concert

To enjoy Halloween with an exciting orchestra with your family and friends, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra is holding Tricks and Musical Treats: a PPO Family Concert. It follows the theme of cowboys and rodeos.

The show will have Maestro Herminigildo Ranera as the conductor, and will be hosted and directed by Liesl Batucan-Del Rosario. There will be an instrument petting zoo at 2:30pm, with the concert proper starting at 4pm.

10. Halloween Drag Brunch

What better way to start a Halloween party than in broad daylight? 

Baksilog! (Baklaan, Sinangag, at Itlog) is set to host a Halloween Drag Brunch on Saturday featuring two of the countries’ “Drag Race” Superstar, Precious Paula Nicole and Captivating Katkat

 

 

Arizona Brandy, Brigiding, Viñas DeLuxe, Matilduh, and many more are joining them on the show!
