Bulacan's Alethea Ambrosio is The Miss Philippines 2023

Alethea Ambrosio is the new The Miss Philippines.

The Bulacan native bested 20 candidates and was crowned at The Filipino Festival Finals night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

Alethea is set to represent the Philippines on the international pageant stage.

The remaining Top 4 queens will also compete in international pageants and will have a separate crowning ceremony for that. They are Issa De Los Santos of Mandaluyong City, Chantal Schmidt of Cebu City, and Blessa Ericha Figueroa of Northern California.

The Miss Philippines was only launched this year. It currently holds the franchises of Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Asia Pacific International.

Pauline Amelinckx, the Miss Supranational 2023 1st Runner Up and the first The Miss Philippines, crowned Alethea and also took her emotional final walk in a flowy orange gown.

Pauline was named The Miss Philippines last August by Miss Universe Philippines National Director Shamcey Supsup, with the pageant’s Creative and Events Director Jonas Gaffud also present. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
