Alden Richards arrives as his character Lance from 'Five Break-Ups and a Romance' at Sparkle Spell 2023

Alden Richards arrived at the Sparkle Spell 2023 as his character Lance Sandoval from "Five Break-Ups and a Romance."

During the Halloween event, Alden walked on the black carpet wearing Lance's black shirt with a Godzilla print on it, which has a symbolic meaning about his relationship to Justine (played by Julia Montes) in the newly released film.

"Ang analogy ni Direk Irene [Villamor] dito kasi when she told me, she specifically asked for this shirt for some reason," Alden said.

"Kasi 'di ba si Godzilla is known as destroyer, wrecker, na kapag nakita mo siya or na-experience mo siya sa buhay mo, nakakatakot," he added.

According to Asia's Multimedia Star, Godzilla represents a question, "Is Lance gonna destroy the life of Justine?"

The Sparkle Spell 2023 held in Xylo at Bonifacio Global City on Sunday night featured Kapuso artists in their "fabulously frightening" outfits. Among the stars who made great impressions include David Licauco as Zoro, Kyline Alcantara as Night King, Derrick Monasterio as Achilles, and Barbie Forteza as Daenerys Targaryen.
