Irish family band The Corrs made their return to the Philippines after 22 years and they've put on a one-of-a-kind display of music and nostalgia at the Araneta Coliseum.

Organized by Pulp Live World, the first show of the two-night concert spanned for around two hours with around a dozen songs that took the breath away of Filipino fans, old and young alike.

The quartet of Andrea, Jim, Caroline and Sharon Corr kicked off the concert with their 1997 single, "Only When I Sleep" which received cheers from the crowd.

The Corrs followed up their opening performance by singing "Give Me a Reason" and "Summer Sunshine."

In a brief chat with the crowd, The Corrs lead vocalist Andrea greeted the fans in Filipino language and expressed their excitement in coming back to the Philippines.

"Magandang gabi, masaya kaming makabalik dito," Andrea said.

"It's been quite a while, over 20 years. We really wanted to come back from that last gig, because the welcome you gave us was unforgettable. So it finally happened," she added.

The Corrs performed their classics, such as "Runaway," "Don't Say You Love Me," "Radio" and "So Young," and the crowd never failed to sing along—moments where the band appeared to be overwhelmed by the crowd's energy.

Jim, Sharon, Andrea, and Caroline also treated the crowd by playing their instruments and dancing along to Irish traditional music between sets.

The Corrs saved the best for the last with a performance of their hit song "Breathless" which happened to be one of their most popular songs and a favorite of many Pinoy fans.

The band wrapped up the first show of their two-night concert in a rain of confetti and bowing to the crowd, thanking them while giving everyone a chance to runaway on a nostalgic trip.
