'Joker' director releases new image for 'Folie à Deu'

A year from now, the highly anticipated sequel to "Joker" will be hitting cinemas.

On Instagram, director Todd Phillips shared a new image for "Joker: Folie à Deu."

The preview shows Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) standing under the rain, surrounded by people with umbrellas.

"Oct. 4," Phllips wrote. "Thanks for all the messages. Four years ago we had quite a ride. Lots of great memories. More to come."

Phillips previously shared a teaser featuring Joker and Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) . They finished filming in April.

""Joker: Folie à Deu," reportedly a musical , is the sequel to the hit 2019 film "Joker."

It is set for release on October 4, 2024.
