Two years after her Miss World Philippines reign, Tracy Maureen Perez reflected on her pageantry journey and how it changed her life.

On Instagram, the Miss World Philippines 2021 posted silhouette photos of herself wearing a crown, along with an insightful reflection.

According to the beauty queen, two years may have passed since her crowning moment, but she couldn't help but reminisce and reflect on how her life has changed for the better since then.

"[My] life has changed so much in this short span of time," Tracy said.

"If I can be real honest, there were a lot of moments that I'm not very proud of, decisions I wish I could change, and things I wish I did better," she added.

Tracy said people sometimes "only want to see what seems to be the pinnacle of success," but there was more to being a beauty queen than just wearing a crown, including "what it takes to get there" that is often overlooked.

Nonetheless, Tracy said her entire Miss World Philippines journey helped mold her into the woman she is today.

"But all of these, combined with the already colorful and challenging life that I'm living, have taught me strength, empathy, grace, gratitude, perseverance, and to be really present in the highs and lows of life," she said.

"Life is meant to be lived to the fullest and wherever it takes me, I'd like to think that I'm already capable of chasing even bigger dreams with a wiser, stronger, and happier mind and heart," she added.

Tracy represented the Philippines in the Miss World 2021 pageant held in Puerto Rico, where she finished her stint as one of the Top 13.
