Michelle Dee receives certificate of attendance for beginning her Basic Citizen Military Training
Michelle Dee just started her training as a reservist for the Philippine Air Force and at the graduation ceremony of the Basic Citizen Military Training of the Philippine Air Force Reserve program, she was recognized for the time and effort she's put into hertraining.
On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 shared several photos from the graduation ceremony and said "the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
"It's always been a goal of mine to become a civilian reservist, which for me is one of the highest forms of love for your country! If you're waiting for a sign - this is it," she added.
In the photos, Michelle wore the military fatigue just as well as a pageant swimsuit or evening gown. Also posting a photo with fellow Kapuso and reservist John Vic De Guzman, Michelle was accompanied by her mom, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.
According to the Philippine Air Force, they gave the Kapuso beauty queen the certificate of attendance because "in spite of her busy schedule preparing for the Ms Universe Pageant, she has spared time to begin the BCMT."
"Hopefully, she will soon complete the training and earn her reservist rank," it added
Michelle only began her Air Force training last month, right around the same time she started preparing for the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, to take place in November at El Salvador.
Other celebrity reservists include Ronnie Liang, Rocco Nacino, Dingdong Dantes, and Geneva Cruz.
