APO Hiking Society to restage 50th anniversary concert in November
APO Hiking Society is all set to hold another 50th anniversary show.
Jim Paredes and Boboy Garovillo of the iconic OPM group will be performing their hits on November 17 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.
“f you missed our 50th anniversary, there will be a REPEAT! This time it will be at Resorts World on November 17, 2023. See you there!!” Jim said on Instagram.
Jim and Boboy held "Apo Hiking Society: 50 Years the Concert" last July for two nights at the Ateneo de Manila University’s Hyundai Hall in Arete.
Jim, Boboy, and the late Danny Javier are the hitmakers behind “When I Met You,” “Panalangin,” “Batang-Bata Ka Pa,” “Pumapatak Nanaman ang Ulan,” “Ewan,” and “Mahirap Magmahal ng Syota ng Iba,” among many others.
Danny passed away in 2022 from "complications due to his prolonged illnesses."
Last December, Jim and Boboy played their first gig after Danny’s death at 19 East in Paranaque City.
