Paolo Contis references 'Baguio as a friend' meme in 'Fuschia Libre' teaser

Paolo Contis gave a glimpse of his character as a gay wrestler in a teaser for his upcoming film "Fuschia Libre."

On Instagram, Mavx Productions dropped a short scene showing Paolo and John Arcilla, who plays his father.

In the clip, John calls out Paolo for getting home late the night before and having a woman with him. He says he's sure that it's a different woman from Paolo's previous companion in Baguio.

"'Yun ba? Wala 'yun dad, friend ko lang 'yun," Paolo says, a reference to the "Baguio as a friend" meme that became popular when the actor was spotted with Yen Santos in the summer capital.

John then lectures Paolo about staying faithful, citing his own relationship to his wife.

After Paolo excuses himself and leaves the house, his demeanor slightly changes and he makes a phone call.

"Hello sis, nakakaloka si Daddy ginagawa akong babaero! Eh di ba si Josh ang kasama ko kagabi?" he says.

Despite the humor in the scene, Paolo previously said that his character is a more serious take on the LGBT role.

Paolo is one of the hosts of "Eat Bulaga" and is one of the mainstays of "Bubble Gang."

He has starred in several Mavx Productions, such as "Through Night and Day," "A Faraway Land," and "Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap."

Meanwhile, John previously starred in "Ten Little Mistresses" and "A Hard Day."
