ATEEZ caps off 'Break the Wall' tour in Manila

Not even the gloomy weather can stop the K-pop boy band ATEEZ from setting the Manila stage on fire as they bring their "Break the Wall" concert—the last stop of their world tour—to the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night.

Before their highly anticipated first solo concert in the country, ATEEZ spoke to GMA Integrated News and shared their excitement for their first-ever Manila show.

"This is the first Philippine show for ATEEZ and ATINYs, so we are so excited to come here. Every Filipino ATINY has waited for us so much, so I want to say thank you to our fans," leader Hongjoong said.

Prior to their "Break the Wall" concert in Manila, ATEEZ performed for "K-pop Masterz 2," a joint concert with fellow K-pop acts iKON and GOT7's Youngjae, last year.

As they come back to the Philippines a year later for a major solo concert, member San said he is looking forward to the performances they prepared for the ATINYs.

"This time we are able to put out all our songs, and we have lots of performances ready for this. We also have all our fans here, so this is the most exciting for us," he said.

Having visited the Philippines twice, the members shared what Filipino food they wanted to try and what places they wanted to visit in the country. Mingi said he wanted to try local Filipino food, while Hongjoong said he wanted to visit Boracay with his members.

As one of the fastest-rising K-pop artists, Mingi also said that ATINYs, who have supported them through ups and downs, are their number one inspiration in making music.

Seonghwa, Hongjoong, San, Mingi, Yunho, Yeosang, and Wooyoung performed more than 20 songs from their wide-ranging discography and treated their Filo ATINYs to an electrifying show that spanned for more than two hours.

ATEEZ kicked off their first Manila concert and the last leg of their "Break the Wall" world tour with their exhilarating performance of "Halazia," followed by "Answer" and "The Ring."

They also danced to their hit songs "Bouncy"—which they performed together with ATINYs—"Guerilla," and "Wonderland."

During their ment, the members couldn't help but feel emotional as they concluded their world tour in Manila and promised to be back next time with Jongho, who missed their Manila stop due to an injury.

"To be honest, this is the last stop of our Break the Wall tour. This is our second time here, but to be honest, I feel like this is hotter than before. We will make sure to come back with great performances next time," Mingi said.

"First of all, it is an honor that we got to end our Break the Wall tour here in the Philippines. Let's meet again and be happier on our next tour. We're going to come back as eight members, so let's meet again," Wooyoung said.

"ATINY, we really love you. Thank you so much!" Hongjoong added.

Meanwhile, Yeosang and San said that their tour is an unforgettable memory that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

"I can say this is an unforgettable memory in my life, and thank you so much, ATINYs, for making it a memorable one," Yeosang shared.

"Today I made memories because you guys are here. So I love you so much," San added.

As they concluded their Manila show, Yunho and Seonghwa also made sure to express their heartfelt gratitude to their fans and left an endearing message for ATINYs to remember.

"Through our performance today, we conclude our Break the Wall tour. During our performance, there was one discovery I made: that in my life, my reason would be ATINYs. Thinking about how I will get to make many more memories with ATINYs in the future makes me happy," Seonghwa said.

"There's one thing that I want to tell you all. ATINYs whenever you are having a hard time, whenever you wanna sit down, we'll make sure to do better for us to serve as your energy. We broke countless walls, right? Whatever wall we face, let us all break through it together! I love you all!"

ATEEZ's "Break the Wall" tour is the third world tour of the boy group since their debut in 2018. It began with a two-night show at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on October 29–30, 2022, and staged 40 shows that spanned 29 cities across Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.
