Michael V. draws Octo-1 portrait, bids emotional goodbye to 'Voltes V: Legacy'
Michael V. bid an emotional goodbye to his "Voltes V: Legacy" and his character, Octo-1 the little red octopus robot.
After the live action series ended on Friday, Bitoy dropped a parting gift to fellow fans of the show.
On Instagram, he shared a video an Octo-1 portrait he drew himself, accompanied by the character singing "Chichi wo Motomete."
"Para sa mga ka-edad ko na lumaki sa robots, cartoons at Family Computer, here's something that my long time friend, arranger and fellow Voltes fan, Albert Tamayo, made for you, my Kapusong-bata friends," Bitoy said.
The Kapuso Comedy Genius looked back on his journey as part of the show, an adaptation of the robot anime he loved as a child.
"As we say goodbye to one epic and legendary ride on Philippine television, hindi ko mapigilan na ma-senti," he said.
"All my life, never ko na-imagine na magiging part ako ng TV production ng childhood hero ko but here I am voicing an honorary member of the Voltes Team!"
Octo-1's version of the iconic "Voltes V" ending song played during the penultimate episode of the series, which showed taping bloopers at the ending credits.
Octo-1 is an invention of Little Jon Armstrong, one of the pilots of the Voltes V robot. He is considered the sixth member of the Voltes team.
