Maricel Soriano reacts to 'Drag Race Philippines' episode where she served as guest judge

Maricel Soriano didn't miss having her own reaction video on "Drag Race Philippines" Episode 6, where she served as a special guest judge.

On Saturday, the Diamond Star uploaded a vlog on YouTube titled "Nagulat ako sa mga accla," where she shared her initial reactions to the episode as well as her comments on the contestants' performances.

The Dramarama Mama episode of "Drag Race Philippines" was an acting challenge, and Maricel mentored the drag queens in improving their acting.

For Maricel, ØV CÜNT and Arizona Brandy performed the best among others, but she also admitted it was a difficult position to be a judge because they all performed well.

"Ang hirap talaga pumili kasi ang gagaling naman talaga nila, pero agree ako dun sa nanalo," the veteran actress said in her vlog.

Regarding having a Philippine franchise of "RuPaul's Drag Race," Maricel said she is happy for the LGBT+ community for having their platform to showcase their talents.

"Happy ako for them na at least ayan, patuloy nilang mailalabas ang talent, ang husay nila sa pag arte, pag kanta at pagsayaw," she said.

In the Dramarama Mama episode, Maricel wore an outfit similar to the one she wore to the iconic wedding scene of her 1992 film "Ikaw Pa Lang Ang Minahal."

In the same episode, Hana Beshie and the newly eliminated queen DeeDee Marié Holliday underwent an awkward stage in their friendship after the latter spilled some tea about the former's personal relationships.

It's no secret that Maricel has long been a follower and a fan of the drag scene in the Philippines. Last year, the 58-year-old actress released a spoof on "Drag Race Philippines" and "Drag Den Philippines" through a parody vlog with Xilhouette and Shewarma.

Season 2 of "Drag Race Philippines" is now streaming on HBO Go and Wow Presents Plus.
