Pinay contestant in HYBE's girl group contest is 'beyond grateful for all the love'
Sophia Laforteza continues to compete for a spot in HYBE and Geffen Records’ upcoming global girl group.
On Instagram, Sophia, the lone Filipina contestant in the program, thanked her supporters for the love, and posted photos of herself holding a Philippine flag.
“[P]ara sa pangarap,” she wrote in the caption. “A dream that you wish will truly come true.”
“I am beyond grateful for all the love, support, experiences, and opportunities I am receiving,” she added. “I can’t wait to go on this journey with you all[.] Maraming salamat, po[.]”
Sophia is among the 20 finalists who made it to “The Debut: Dream Academy” audition program.
HYBE is the agency that manages global artists like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, NewJeans, and many more.
Geffen Records, owned by Universal Music Group, currently manages Olivia Rodrigo, Alesso, Kali Uchis, and Marshmello, among others.
