Jungkook of BTS announced as headliner at Global Citizen Festival in New York

Jungkook of BTS is set to perform at this year's Global Citizen Festival as a headliner!

According to an announcement by Global Citizen, the concert will take place at the Great Lawn of Central Park in New York City on September 23.

In a statement, Jungkook said, “I'm so thrilled to join this year's Global Citizen Festival as a headliner! The festival sheds light on important causes and drives action and I'm happy to take part in it."

Global Citizen is an organization that seeks to catalyze the movement to end extreme poverty and promote social justice and equity.

In 2021, BTS performed from Seoul as part of Global Citizen Live.

Jungkook released his solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" in July. It topped Billboard charts including the Hot 100, and so far has a seven-week streak at the top of Global 200 and Global Excl. US.
