'The Nun II' to hold midnight screenings this September

Up for a scare? "The Nun II" is holding midnight screenings on its opening day!

On September 6, the horror film will launch late showings in several SM Cinema branches across the Philippines. You can check out the participating cinemas on the movie's website.

"The Nun II" is the sequel to the 2018 hit film "The Nun," and the ninth installment in The Conjuring Universe.

Set in 1956, it follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun. It is directed by Michael Chaves, with screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and Akela Cooper and story by Cooper. It is based on characters created by James Wan and Gary Dauberman.

Taissa Farmiga returns as Sister Irene, joined by Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Bonnie Aarons. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
