David Archuleta sings 'Crush' on the song's 15th anniversary
David Archuleta just brought us back to 2008!
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of his hit song “Crush,” David belted out the classic in an Instagram video, and he sounds exactly the same as he did back then.
“Happy 15th anniversary to this one!” he said in his caption.
Fans shared their nostalgia in the comments section. They said that “’Crush’ is a national treasure,” and that “his voice just makes go into butterfly feels[.]”
Several fans are even calling on David to re-record the song and turn it into an LGBTQIA+ anthem, following his coming out.
David rose to fame after competing on “American Idol” Season 7. David Cook emerged as the grand winner.
Aside from “Crush,” David is known for the songs “A Little Too Not Over You,” “Something ‘Bout Love,” and a cover of the OPM ballad, “Forevermore” by Side A.
David spent six weeks in the Philippines in 2012 to film a series. He also has a dreamy cover of South Border’s “Rainbow,” which he dedicated to his Filipino fans.
The singer was last in the country in 2018 for a fundraising concert.
