Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?' is the perfect 'Barbie' song for your post-movie muni-muni

In case you need a song to reflect on after watching "Barbie" in the cinemas, then get those headphones on and listen to "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish.

Played toward the movie's end, it masterfully captures Barbie's existential crisis after having a taste of living in the real world instead of Barbieland.

On Instagram, Billie narrated how in January, "Barbie" director Greta Gerwig showed her and her brother Finneas some unfinished scenes from the film.

"We had no idea what to expect at all," Billie wrote in the caption.

"We were so [deeply] moved [that] the next day, we were writing and [couldn't] shut up about it," she added.

According to the Grammy winner, she and Finneas wrote the entire song in just one night.

"To be real with you, this all seemed to happen in a time when [I] really needed it," she said. "[I'm] so so thankful for that."

Billie also talked about the music video of "What Was I Made For?" which she self-directed.

"This video makes me [cry,]" she said. "[It] means so much to me[,] and [I] hope it will mean just as much to you."

"[Don't] have much to say other than that, [I] think it will speak for itself," she added.

As of writing, the music video for "What Was I Made For?" has garnered over 10 million views on YouTube in less than a week.

"Barbie" stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrara, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Dua Lipa, and Will Ferrell.

It is now showing in Philippine cinemas, after the MTRCB said it found no basis to ban "Barbie" in the Philippines over an alleged depiction of China's nine-dash-line map.
