The Boyz credit their band's success to fans
When South Korean boy band The Boyz debuted in 2017, they were just a fraction of how big they are today. But thanks to their fans, The Bs, who had their backs since day one, they flourished in the coming years.
As one of the fast-rising stars in the South Korean entertainment industry, member Juyeon said that they attribute the success of The Boyz to no less than their fans, who continued to cheer on them.
"One of the reasons we could get a lot of love and support is because of our fans," he said in a sit-down interview with GMA Integrated News.
Having a diverse music spectrum and wide-ranging discography, they also said that The Bs are their inspiration in making music.
"They are our driving force, so we always strive to make music for our fans," Jacob said.
And the jampacked crowd for their "The Boyz Second World Tour: Zeneration in Manila" at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night was a testament to The B's love and support for The Boyz.
The Zeneration in Manila marked The Boyz's first ever solo activity in the country since their fan meeting four years ago, and Kevin can't help but feel excited about their first ever solo concert in Manila.
"We know that fans in the Philippines are very passionate, dedicated, and to finally be able to have a solo show for them, we're so excited and we cannot be more happy," he said.
The Boyz first came to the Philippines in 2018 for the MBC Show Champion. A year later, they held their first ever fan meeting in the country. Prior to their solo concert, they also performed at the K-Verse Concert in Manila in April 2023.
The Boyz are composed of 11 members: Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, JuHaknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric.
They debuted under IST Entertainment in 2017 with the song "Boy." The group is known for their hit songs, "The Stealer," and "Reveal."
