Pauline Amelinckx finishes as 1st Runner-Up in Miss Supranational 2023

Pauline Amelinckx was proclaimed as the 1st Runner-Up in the Miss Supranational 2023 competition on Saturday (Philippine time).

The crown went to Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador.

During the coronation night held in Poland, Pauline strutted across the stage in a yellow bikini for the swimsuit portion, and a black piece with a deep neckline for the evening gown portion.

She also answered flawlessly during the Q&A portion, where she was asked, "What makes a great ambassador for the Miss Supranational Organization?"

"It would be dedication," Pauline said. "Dedication to this journey, dedication to the people who have brought her up to this journey, and dedication of course to the organization that she'll end up working with."

"This is such a beautiful experience," she added. "And she has to be someone who can bring people together. Someone who knows that this is not a one-woman journey. We all have our differences but we also realize we have so much in common. And we are now gathered here on this stage, transcending our own borders, bringing nations together."

Pauline was named Miss Supranational Philippines following her third try at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant last May. She represented her hometown of Bohol.

The country's only Miss Supranational winner is Mutya Datul, who won the crown in 2013. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
