The Boyz: 5 things about the K-pop group you should know before watching their concert
The Boyz first stepped foot in Manila in 2019 for a fan meeting. The South Korean boy group was just two years into their career at the time, certainly a rising sensation in South Korea’s entertainment industry.
Four years later, The Boyz aka TBZ are back in Metro Manila soil — and not just for a fan meet.
TBZ is expected to give a full performance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday for their "The Zeneration Tour."

1. Who areThe Boyz?
The Boyz or TBZ is a South Korean boy group formed by IST Entertainment.
They debuted on December 6, 2017 with the single "Boy" and are known for hit songs like "Thrill Ride," and "The Stealer."
2. Meet The Boyz members
The Boyz consist of 11 members: Sangyeon, who serves as the leader of the group; Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Kevin, and New, who are best known for their strong vocal abilities.
Meanwhile, Juyeon, who got the visual role in the group aka the best face, is a dancer along with Q and JuHaknyeon.
Sunwoo and Eric, the team's maknae or youngest member, are the rappers of the group.
Originally debuted as a 12-member group, Hwall departed from the team on October 22, 2019.
3. They have three foreign members
Since K-pop has become a global phenomenon, entertainment companies are starting to recruit members outside of Korea to gain more popularity in the global market.
The Boyz are no exception to that.
Their 11-member line-up consists of three foreign members: Jacob, who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada; Kevin, who, despite being born in South Korea, migrated to Vancouver, at an early age; and Eric, who was born in South Korea but grew up in Los Angeles, California.
4. They competed for the reality show "Kingdom: Legendary War"

The winner of the show will get a reality show specially made for the winning boy group, plus "Kingdom Week" special shows.
The Boyz competed for crown back in 2021.They didn’t get the sweet taste of victory, but they landed in second place, proving how talented they are as a team.
5. Their fans are called The Bs
Having a fan club name in the music industry gives a sense of identity and belonging to the fans.
