Sandara Park excited to 'go back home' to the Philippines to perform her new music
Sandara Park is looking forward to going back to her second home for a very special reason — she will be performing her new songs!
The K-pop legend is part of the lineup of The Super Stage by K-Pop in Manila concert happening on August 11 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Other artists include MAMAMOO+, Kep1er, and Lapillus.
Sandara shared her excitement on Twitter.
“Finally!!! I’m going back home with my own song~!!!” she said. “[Ito] ang totoong tears of joy~!!!”
She added that she hopes to see fans at the show.
“If not now, when?! Mag enjoy tayo habang meron pa hehe,” she added.
Sandara last performed in the Philippines in 2022, a last-minute performance at the K-Pop Masterz in Manila concert with fellow artist, BamBam.
She released her self-titled debut EP and the music video for the song “Festival” on Wednesday. It has subtle nods to her Filipino song "In Or Out" and samples music from singer Uhm Jung Hwa's song "Festival (Life is Beautiful)."
The 2NE1 member was in the Philippines last June to visit Clark, Pampanga for the first time, where she had a meal in her favorite Filipino restaurants, Jollibee and Gerry's Grill. Dara said she is “so happy” to still be recognized in the Philippines after all these years.
