Sandara Park drops self-titled EP, 'Festival' MV to make solo debut

Sandara Park finally made her solo debut!

On Wednesday, the K-pop idol released her self-titled EP and a colorful, festival-themed comeback music video for her title track, "Festival."

The song included a subtle nod to her Filipino song "In Or Out" and samples music from singer Uhm Jung Hwa's song "Festival (Life is Beautiful)."

Uhm Jung Hwa also made a surprise cameo appearance in the feel-good music video.

"Festival" came together with four other tracks in the EP: "Play!" "Dara Dara" "T Map" and "Happy Ending."

Prior to the release, Sandara teased fans with a quick clip that showed a carnival entrance. It also had the text "Grand Open" and "Welcome to Sandara Park."

She has been teasing her solo album since March, saying that it will be composed of "different genres," including a "DARA style" love song.

Sandara was recently in the Philippines to visit Clark, Pampanga for the first time, where she had a meal in two of her favorite Filipino restaurants, Jollibee and Gerry's Grill. Dara said she is "so happy" to still be recognized in the Philippines after all these years.

She is set to return to the Philippines at the The Super Stage by K-Pop in Manila concert to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on August 11.
