Pura Luka Vega's 'Ama Namin' drag performance draws criticism on social media
A video of a recent performance by Filipino drag queen Pura Luka Vega went viral on social media after receiving mixed reactions from netizens.
In the video, Luka is seen wearing her signature drag look while performing to an upbeat and remixed version of "Ama Namin" ("Our Father") with the crowd.
According to Ian Cruz's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, among those who were not happy with the performance was Senator JV Ejercito, who called the act blasphemous.
But others defended that the performance is a form of art and expression.

On her Twitter Space, Luka addressed the issue and said that her "intention is not really to mock per se."
"Feeling ko I was very careful when I did that because I don't want to come across something that's very offensive," she said. "I also did that intentionally to challenge our notions of how we worship or how we sing our prayers."
"Was it offensive because I am queer individual or was it for other factors? It was in no way trying to demean naman."
