Sam Smith joins 'Barbie' OST lineup

Sam Smith has been revealed to be the last of the artists in the "Barbie" soundtrack.

The "Unholy" singer will release te track "Man I Am" July 21.

On Instagram, Sam shared his delight over being part of the lineup.

"I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film," they said. "I was invited by the incredible @iammarkronson and Greta Gerwig to write a song from the perspective of Ken for one of the scenes and we honestly had so much fun with this. I cannot wait for you to hear what we've created together."

"BARBIE LAND HERE WE COME!!!!" they added.

Other artists in the OST lineup include Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Ice Spice, and Nicki Minaj.

"Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig, is among the highest anticipated upcoming films.

However, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) is deliberating whether it will be allowed for commercial release in the Philippines.

Vietnam earlier banned the “Barbie” film  over a scene depicting China’s controversial nine-dash line along the South China Sea (SCS).

Warner Bros studio meanwhile said the controversial map is a "child-like" drawing with no intended significance.

China has claims in the South China Sea based on its nine-dash-line map.

In 2016, the Hague-based court invalidated Beijing’s expansive claims over the resource-rich waters and upheld the Philippines' claims in the area based on its exclusive economic zone provided under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Beijing did not participate in the legal proceedings and continues to refuse to recognize the decision of the arbitral tribunal.
