Julie Anne San Jose performs 'Voltes V' theme song at diplomatic event

Julie Anne San Jose has graced a diplomatic event hosted by the Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines, Koshikawa Kazuhiko.

It was a celebration of the 69th JSDF Day, which was attended by friends and colleagues in the diplomatic corps.

At the event, Asia’s Limitless Star pulled off a powerful performance of the “Voltes V” theme song in the original Japanese. Julie Anne sang the theme song for the Philippine live-action adaptation, “Voltes V: Legacy.”

On Twitter, Ambassador Kaz thanked Julie for the performance and commended her talent.

“Huge thanks to Ms. Julie Anne San Jose for sharing her limitless talent for our celebration of the JSDF Day! Her musical stylings has made tonight truly special and without a doubt, super electromagnetic!” he said.

Prior to this, the ambassador — who is also a huge “Voltes V” fan — tweeted about Julie’s impressive singing skills.

Ambassador Kaz was also very happy at the “enthusiastic reception” towards the Philippine adaptation, and he even watched the cinematic cut.

"Voltes V: Legacy" airs weekdays on GMA Telebabad at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." The series is also livestreamed on GMA Network's YouTube channel and at GMANetwork.com/KapusoStream.
