This one’s for you, mga Iglesia ni Carly!
Carly Rae Jepsen announced she is releasing a new album “The Loveliest Time,” shortly after her 2022 album, “The Loneliest Time.”
On Instagram, the recent Manila visitor said “After a season of hibernation comes the season of blossoming. I got to know loneliness and discover the beauty in it."
“The loneliest time taught me that growth comes from being planted in darkness. But now the world has opened itself back up again and in turn so have we,” she added. “It’s time for celebration and for all the lessons we have learned to burst into joyful action. The Loveliest Time…”
While Carly is known to drop B sides, she said "The Loveliest Time" contains a different set of lessons she's learned.
“I can’t really call it a b sides as if these were cast off ideas—it’s the completed set to a body of work that taught me so much about love and loneliness and myself,” she said.
The “Call Me Maybe” hitmaker did not share a release date, but she said, "It’s done and a month from now The Loveliest Time will be all yours."
Carly was one of the headliners of the Wanderland Music Festival last March. While in the Philippines, she explored Intramuros and enjoyed some dirty ice cream.
She also visited Manila in 2019 for The Dedicated Tour, after her album of the same name.
Carly celebrated the seventh anniversary of her album “Emotion” last year.
