'Encantadia' multiverse? Direk Mark Reyes reacts to Karylle's tweet to Gabbi Garcia

In this era of multiverses in pop culture, can we get an "Encantadia" multiverse?

"Encantadia" director Mark Reyes floated the idea in reaction to Karylle's tweet to Gabbi Garcia when the Sparkle star appeared on the GTV premiere of "It's Showtime."

On Instagram, Direk Mark posted a photo of Karylle and Gabbi as Sang'gre Alena in the 2005 and 2016 versions of "Encantadia." Also included in the photo is Karylle's tweet to Gabbi.

"Avisala, [Gabbi]!" the "It's Showtime" host said with a green heart. "[I]kaw na muna ang bahalang magbukas ng pinto sa GTV."

The two Alenas first met at an event in the same year, and Gabbi just couldn't contain her happiness.

Seeing their latest interaction, Direk Mark teased netizens about possibly doing an "Encantadia" multiverse.

He also included a photo of him with the 2016 Sang'gres Kylie Padilla, Glaiza De Castro, and Sanya Lopez and 2005 Sang'gres Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Karylle.

Sunshine Dizon from the original cast and Gabbi from the remake were not in the photo, but Direk Mark tagged them in the post.

"Shall we make the 'Enca Multiverse' happen?" Mark said. "Are you game?"

Direk Mark's post caught the attention of other cast members of the iconic series, like Yasmien Kurdi and Mikee Quintos.

Yasmien played Mira, Pirena's daughter, in 2005 while Mikee played Lira, Amihan's daughter, in 2016.

"Ehem direk ehem. Masaya 'yan," Yasmien said.

Mikee, meanwhile, simply said, "YES!"

We'll have to wait and see if Direk Mark can pull off an "Encantadia" multiverse, but in the meantime, its spinoff series "Sang'gre" will go into production very soon!
