Lewis Capaldi cancels Manila concert in July

Lewis Capaldi's concert in Manila scheduled on July 27 has been cancelled following his decision to take a break from touring.

This comes after Lewis experienced difficulties while performing at the Glastonbury Festival last weekend.

In a statement, the Scottish singer-songwriter apologized to his fans who may have planned to catch him on tour this year.

"I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I'd hoped three weeks away would sort me out," said Lewis, who has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome last year.

"On Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come," he added.

According to Mayo Clinic, Tourette Syndrome is a disorder that causes repetitive tics that are difficult to control, such as blinking or shrugging.

Lewis said he needs to feel well to deliver performances that his fans deserve.

"Playing for you every thing is all I've ever dreamed of so this has ben the most difficult decision of my life. I'll be back as soon as I possibly can," he said.

Event organizer Wilbros Live said tickets for Lewis's Manila concert will refunded automatically for those who purchased them online.

Those who bought from Ticketnet box office and outlets, meanwhile, may drop by the Yellow Gate of Araneta Coliseum starting July 15 to July 31 for their refund. The physical ticket and a valid ID must be presented.

Lewis is known for his songs "Someone You Loved," "Before You Go," and "Wish You The Best."
