Zack Tabudlo joins Joan for fresh new version of ‘superglue’
Joan released a special version of their hit single “superglue,” featuring none other than Zack Tabudlo.
Joan, the alt-pop duo composed of new dads Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford, said in a statement that the song was about their daughters.
“We want them to know we’re superglue for them. We’re the guys you can run to when you’re sad or you want to rejoice because something happy happened at school,” Alan said. “If you’re not a parent, it can be about someone you really care about. We’re singing it to our little girls though.”
In the new version, Zack comes in with his top-notch vocals in the second verse.
This single is also dubbed as a love letter from Joan to their dedicated Filipino fanbase.
The duo has been to the Philippines several times before. They played at music festivals such as Wanderland in 2019 and Salo Salo Fest in 2022. Joan also has a concert at the New Frontier Theater on September 19.
This isn’t Zack’s first time meeting international artists. The OPM singer met up with Lauv in May 2022, and performed with LANY during one of their Manila concerts last November. Jungkook from BTS even listened to his song during a livestream.
Zack’s most recent album “For All,” was released last February. His song “Pano” is the most listened-to song in the Philippines on YouTube in 2022.
