Sassa Gurl to host 'Ms. Dragdagulan: Stars of Pride' lipsync battle on Saturday

Sassa Gurl, the Drag Runner of "Drag Den Philippines," is in her hosting era!

As a kickoff party for Pride PH Festival, Sassa Gurl will host "Ms. Dragdagulan: Stars of Pride'' this Saturday, which will be held along Maginhawa Street in Quezon City from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

During the main event, 12 drag queens, namely Lee Suh, Lady X, Mz. Chronicles, Felicia Ding, Xitrina, Luxx Arry, Regina Gorge, Starlett Hark, Kitty Sinclair, Sasha Vou, Psyklopse, and Rubia Lavish will compete for the title "Ms. Dragdagulan: Stars of Pride" through a lipsync battle.

Aside from drag performances, local artists, including Gab Villaruel, Kean Lockes, Pointy, Mhond Mamon, Panthera Arma, Zymba Ding, Curvedidoll, Jean Vilogue, Dolores, Andro Jenny, Ruru Gonzales, and Spectrum, are also set to perform.

"At GagaOOLala, a global LGBTQ+ and BL streaming platform with 2.8 million global members, we are committed to showcasing diversity and inclusion through the thousands of stories we continuously bring [onto] our platform," GagaOOLala CEO & founder Jay Lin said.

"And of course, this includes drag-related content.  As such, we are honored to build this partnership with Pride PH to support 'Ms. Dragdagulan Stars of Pride,'" he added.

Aside from the event on Saturday, Pride PH and the Quezon City Government will hold "LoveLaban," a festival at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on June 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Performers include Sassa Gurl, Nica Del Rosario, drag queens Precious Paula Nicole, Naia, Lady Morgana, Minty Fresh, Maria Christina, Pura Luka Vega, and many more.
