Annabelle Rama narrates Lorin Bektas' makeup video: 'Nako, ang dami palang arte ng makeup mo, Lorin'

Annabelle Rama gamely played along with her granddaughter Lorin Bektas, who took a makeup tutorial video challenge on TikTok.

A few days after Lorin asked her mom Ruffa Gutierrez to do a voice-over on one of her videos, the 19-year-old gave in to netizens' request to have her grandmother narrate a video of her as well.

In a TikTok video uploaded on Monday, Lorin was seen putting on makeup and in the voice-over, she had to guide her lola Annabelle in narrating her video. It was cute and funny all the same. 

"Lorin, what are you doing, Lorin?" the veteran actress said at the beginning of the video.

"It's my makeup, just narrate it," Lorin responded.

Annabelle's apo had a multi-step makeup routine, including putting on bronzer, contour, blush, highlighter, eyeliner, and mascara — that got her a little bit confused.

When she got to the eyeliner, Annabelle sounded a bit panicked. "Mahirap Lorin — ano ba yan Lorin!? Iba na makeup ng mga bata ngayon, ang dami-dami," she exclaimed.

In the duration of the video, Annabelle couldn't help but compliment Lorin on how good she is at putting on makeup.

"Ang galing-galing mo mag-makeup, anak,” Annabelle commented.

"Nag-lalagay ka para sa nose eh ang tangos-tangos ng nose mo," she added.

In the end, Annabelle jokingly rated Lorin's makeup a nine out of 10, followed by her contagious laugh.

"Bakit nine [lang]?" Lorin said at the end of the video.

Annabelle's commentary is funny but elicits a kind of warmth only grandparents can give.  

In the comment section, netizens appreciated how Annabelle frequently calls Lorin "anak" in a soft manner, contrary to her fierce and brave personality on TV.

"Hearing her call you anak healed something in me[.] This vid is so comforting," one netizen commented.

"You two are so cute! Ms. Anabelle is known for being so matapang, but I feel that she's a sweet lola," another netizen wrote, to which Lorin responded, "[She's] a strong fiery woman with the best heart."

As of writing, the video has over 3.4 million views and more than 328,000 reactions.

Previously, Lorin surprised her followers with how good she is at speaking Tagalog, which she credited to watching Filipino TV series like "Darna."
