Chris Hemsworth charms the Manila crowd with a Korean finger heart

As if the presence of Chris Hemsworth wasn't enough, the hot Hollywood action star managed to charm the Manila crowd even more with an unexpected Korean finger heart!

Chris was in Manila to promote Netflix’s “Extraction 2,” the sequel to the giant streaming app’s blockbuster action film “Extraction.”

On Monday, the Australian actor met select media members for a press conference in Conrad Manila in the afternoon before meeting a throng of excited fans in the evening for a fan meet in SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

Apart from looking every bit dapper throughout the daylong marathon of activities, the “Extraction 2” leading star stayed likeable and charming as he unexpectedly flashed a Korean finger heart for a good five seconds. What a charmer!

Several Kapuso celebrities were among the excited fans who trooped to the SM Mall of Asia for a glimpse of the Australian action star. Rayver Cruz even managed to snap funny selfies with Chris.

“I feel excited to be here," Chris told the press members. "Thank you very much for the warm welcome."

This is Chris’ first time in Manila.

He was joined by “Extraction 2” director Sam Hargrave. The pair spoke about the standout scenes in the second film, one of which is a “oner,” a very long, uninterrupted camera shot, coming in at 21 minutes and seven seconds.

Chris also discussed the craziest thing he did for “Extraction 2,” which was to land a helicopter on a moving train.

“We look at each other, and we say how can we push each other to do something we will be proud of 10 years from now and try to make it memorable for the fans,” Sam said.

Chris plays Tyler Rake in the action film “Extraction 2.” After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Tyler is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.

“Extraction 2” is a sequel to the first film based on the graphic novel “Ciudad“ by Ande Parks, from a story by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo, with illustrations by Fernando León González.

"Extraction 2" will stream exclusively on Netflix starting on June 16. — LA, GMA Integrated News
