Chris Hemsworth is now in the Philippines to promote 'Extraction 2'

Chris Hemsworth is officially in town!

As seen in Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the Australian actor has arrived in the Philippines to promote his Netflix film, "Extraction 2."

Chris met his Filipino fans at the SM MOA Music Hall on Monday and talked about his role as Tyler Rake.

"It was so exciting to dig into the character and talk about the things we played in the first film in progression and explore what made this character tick what was the drive," he said.

The 39-year-old actor also said he did his own stunts during the scene inside a moving train.

"I'm a little older now so it hurts a bit more when you make mistakes," he said.

Chris, who is popular for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said he prepared for the role by training some of the movements he had to execute.

"It mimics what I'm going to be doing in the film as opposed to just lifting weights over here calling action and rolling doing the stairs or something," he said.

Sam Hargrave, the director of "Extraction 2," was all praises for Chris, calling him a talented filmmaker in addition to being an action star.

"He is so collaborative and knowledgeable about story-telling, writing and when were to put the camera," he said.

"Extraction 2," which also stars Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili, premieres on June 16 on Netflix.
