Rakrakan Festival gets postponed due to inclement weather

Rakrakan Festival has been postponed due to weather concerns.

The highly anticipated two-day music event was originally scheduled for June 10 and 11 at Clark Global City.

“The decision comes in light of the impending weather conditions of heavy rains, strong winds and thunderstorms not only during the event itself but during the upcoming days when we are scheduled to do our ingress,” Rakrakan Festival said on Facebook.

“As an event centered around the theme of Peace, Love, & Music, the well-being of our attendees, artists, and staff remains our top priority," they added.

The organizers expressed their deepest apologies and said they understood the fans’ disappointment and the inconvenience this may cause.

Rakrakan assured fans that tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. For those who will be unable to attend, refund details will be announced soon.

“We are actively working to secure a new date that will allow us to deliver an exceptional Rakrakan Festival experience, staying true to the theme of Peace, Love, & Music,” they said.

Rakrakan Festival was set to feature an impressive lineup of over 150 local acts, including Rico Blanco, Franco, Mayonnaise, Gracenote, Dilaw, December Avenue, Tanya Markova, Urbandub, 6Cyclemind, and Moonstar88, to name a few.
