Metro Manila Pride has announced its annual march and festival with the theme, “Tayo ang Kulayaan! Samot-saring Lakas, Sama-sama sa Landas!”
It’s happening in Circuit Makati but details about performers, march route, full program, safety reminders, and other event details have yet to be announced.
Pride PH and the Quezon City Government, meanwhile, are holding LoveLaban, a festival at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on June 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Performers include Sassa Gurl, Nica Del Rosario, drag queens Precious Paula Nicole, Naia, Lady Morgana, Minty Fresh, Maria Christina, Pura Luka Vega, and many more.
These annual events serve to empower the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community by creating spaces where their identities are celebrated, stories are respected, and their rights are recognized. It also serves as a protest against the abuse and injustices the community faces. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
