Get ready to relive more iconic love songs, because Taylor Swift is dropping “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” this July.
Taylor posted an Instagram photo of her wearing purple, similar to the original “Speak Now” album cover.
“It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, [if you know, you know]),” the singer-songwriter said in her caption, referencing her song “Last Kiss.”
Taylor looked back on when she first made the completely self-written album from when was 18 to 20.
“The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness,” she said.
“I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it,” she added.
Not only that, Taylor said she has “six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault[.]”
“I always looked at this album as my album, and the lump in my throat expands to a quivering voice as I say this. Thanks to you, dear reader, it finally will be,” she said. “I consider this music to be, along with your faith in me, the best thing that’s ever been mine.”
The singer has been re-recording her old albums amid a legal battle to gain ownership of her old songs.
In 2021, she released the “Taylor’s Version” of the albums “Fearless” and “Red.”
Her most recent album “Midnights” came out in 2022. She is currently on The Eras Tour.
“Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” is now available for pre-order on taylorswift.com.
