Fil-Canadian singer Tyson Venegas thankful for 'American Idol' journey after finishing in the top 10
Tyson Venegas’ journey on “American Idol” has ended, but he is filled with nothing but gratitude.
The Filipino-Canadian singer crooned out an emotional performance of “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, which was a song chosen for him by Katy Perry. The judges commended Tyson for his growth, personal singing style, heart, and soul.
However, Tyson was part of a double elimination.
On Instagram, the 17-year-old said that he is very thankful for the love and support throughout his “American Idol” journey.
“Thank you so much everyone for all [your love],” Tyson wrote. “Your support means a lot.”
“My @AmericanIdol journey has come to an end but what an honor it has been," he added. "[Not gonna lie], I’m gonna miss my new fam.”
One of Tyson’s most memorable moments on the show was when he performed his original song, “180,” which got him a spot in the top 20.
