Charlene Gonzalez finishes Boston Marathon 2023


Charlene Gonzalez finished the Boston Marathon 2023 and received a medal.

On Instagram, the former beauty queen shared her marathon journey in Massachusetts, United States through photos and videos.

Charlene said she ran the marathon with an injury, struggled with nutrition and hydration, and even got lost during the race.

"Every marathon has a story to tell... It was a very emotionally ending for me. I was crying non-stop," she said.

"It was truly a happy and memorable day," she added.

Her husband Aga Muhlach commented on her post, writing, "Done! Congratulations my love!" with a heart emoji and three applause emojis.

Pia Wurtzbach, Dingdong Dantes, and Aiko Melendez also showed their support in the comments section.

Charlene said encountered some Filipino fans who ran with her during the race for a while.

"Definitely one of the most hilly world major marathon I have done thus far but one of the most beautiful views and crowd support," she said.

"Thank you to all the Filipinos who were out on the course and cheered me on. Mahal ko kayo. Several even ran with me for moments on the course to show support," she added.

Charlene was part of the team that ran for the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, which offers classes for youth, teens, and adults in the visual and performing arts.

They also partnered with a local counterpart Give and Gain, which offer basketball camps for boys.
