Fall Out Boy thanks fans for the 'adventure' on 10th anniversary of 'Save Rock and Roll' album
Fall Out Boy is celebrating 10 years of their now iconic album “Save Rock and Roll.”
On Instagram, the band said that “Ten years is insane (kintsugi kid and all),” referencing their song.
Fall Out Boy looked back on how this was their first album since going on a hiatus in 2009.
“There was a part of me that thought we might never step on stage together again. So to get this chance to get in the studio and make this was a dream,” they said. “Post hiatus we weren’t sure it would move the needle.”
With this, the band thanked their fans for loving the album.
“[Thank] you for showing up. Thank you for going on this adventure with us (the second time is a charm),” they said. “Listening to this one today and remembering the way it felt."
“Save Rock and Roll” includes the tracks “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark,” “Alone Together,” and “Rat A Tat” featuring Courtney Love. The song of the same name features Elton John.
Each song also has a music video, which ended up as the film “The Young Blood Chronicles.”
