'Hello' in Manila: 5 highlights from TREASURE's first solo concert in the Philippines

TREASURE finally graced the Philippine soil with the group's first-ever solo concert in Manila.

Here are five highlights during the first night of their long-awaited "TREASURE's "Hello" concert" tour.

1. Pre-event K-pop concert traditions

You know you're attending a K-pop concert when even early hours before the show and you're nearby the venue, you can already feel the upcoming event— not because of over-the-top posters and other promotional materials but because of the number of fans walking around the mall.

Asking around the queue, some attendees arrived as early as 10:00 am wearing their stylish outfits. Some even gave or handed out freebies to their fellow Filo TEUMEs such as fan-made banners, stickers, phone charms, photocards, and even unsealed K-pop albums and many more!

When it was time to enter the venue, upon entrance, volunteers will greet you warmly as they hand you materials for the concert such as banners with detailed instructions for the fan event printed on the back.

2. 'Going Crazy' with the banger setlist

Way to describe the concert: phenomenal experience. It was a combination of heart-pounding music overpowering the almost deafening cheer of the K-Pop fans at the group's stage entrance as TREASURE opened their Manila concert with the hit song "Jikjin."

It was then followed by "Boy" and "I Love You"  which can only be described as an orchestra of music, lights, and smoke effect. It's a moment where you could literally "feel the music."

Your feet feel the ground shake as thousands of fans dance and jump in sync with their idols with the party-like performances of their songs "Going Crazy" and "Come To Me." They also performed their song "DARARI," which is one of the famous TikTok dance challenges that boomed throughout the world.

3. Multilingual ment and pagpapakilig pick-up lines!

After the set, TREASURE spoke to the audience. The group talked about how they would love to visit places such as Manila Baywalk. They also shared how they want to experience shopping in malls here in the country and most especially they will try to eat adobo, which the fans recommended them to try.

Each TREASURE member delivered pick-up lines for their FILO TEUMEs. Junkyu must have researched that it's summer time here in the Philippines as he made a cheesy line that made the crowd's heart melt: "TEUME, apoy ka ba? Kasi, ALAB you!"

4. Birthday event for the TREASURE G.O.A.T Rappers!

A birthday celebration within a concert? It's definitely possible! Filipino TEUMEs surprised Hyunsuk and Haruto with a birthday cake and birthday song. They also raised a specific banner made for this section of the concert. The two members expressed their warmest appreciation with the surprise made by the fans.

5. Thank you, TREASURE; Thank you, FILO Teume!

TREASURE spent the rest of the first night of their show with "Darari", "Hello", "I Love You" and remix of "Going Crazy," "B.L.T," and "Orange."

During the ending ment, the K-pop boy group extended their gratitude to everyone who showed up and how meaningful TEUMEs are for them.

"You guys have changed my life today. I can't forget this moment forever and I hope TEUME will be the happiest person in the entire world," Ji Hoon said.

Jeongwoo also said, "Kita-kita tayo ulit."

Indeed, Jihoon, Yoshi, Choi Hyun Suk, Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong Woo, and So Jung Hwan made a memorable moment  night with their fans at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Last July, TREASURE made a successful stint in the country for the "2022 K-Pop Masterz in Manila."
