Alanis Morissette adds second show in Manila concert this August

After selling out her August 1 concert in Manila, Alanis Morissette has added another show.

According to an announcement on Tuesday, the second concert will happen on August 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The concert is finally happening after several postponements due to COVID-19. It is part of her tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her most famous and iconic album “Jagged Little Pill.” It was originally scheduled for April 2020.

“Jagged Little Pill” is best known for its raw, angsty lyrics, and holds the tracks “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.”

Alanis’ 1995 debut album earned five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. At 21, the singer-songwriter became the youngest performer to win the prestigious honor. A Broadway musical with songs from the album debuted in 2019.
