GOT7's Jinyoung to enlist in the military this May

Jinyoung of GOT7 is enlisting in the South Korean military this May.

The singer made the confirmation through a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram Story.

According to a translation by Soompi, he wrote, "You all must have been very surprised after coming across my enlistment news through reports. Like it has been revealed, I will be enlisting in the military on May 8 in order to fulfill my military duties."

"Everyone must be very worried, but I gotten rather confident and reassured while meeting all of you," he added. "That is why I promise to return more mature and in good health after experiencing a lot while thinking of everyone."

Jinyoung came to Manila in February for a fan meeting, reuniting with Pinoy fans after four years.

He debuted with GOT7 in 2014. The group also consists of Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.
