New 'Rurouni Kenshin' anime to premiere in July
The new anime adaptation of "Rurouni Kenshin" is set to premiere in July!
The schedule was revealed in a new teaser poster for the series, which shows the four main characters Kenshin, Kaoru, Yahiko, and Sanosuke.
Soma Saito, Rie Takahashi, Makoto Koichi, and Taku Yashiro were previously announced as the voice actors for the main characters.
"Rurouni Kenshin" is based on a 1994 manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was first adapted into a 95-episode anime series in 1996.
Set during the Meiji period in Japan, the story follows a former assassin known as Battousai who becomes a wandering swordsman named Kenshin Himura.
The series was also adapted into five live-action films starring Takeru Sato, three original video animations (OVAs), and a stage play.
